CASYL Challenge #22 -- Photo Inspiration

Happy Friday!  Today starts a new challenge at Christmas Stampin' All Year Long and its a sweet one.  For this week's CSAYL Challenge #22we have a photo to inspire your creations..  Will you take inspiration from the colors, shapes, images or something else?  Can't wait to see what you create!

Our sponsor this week is Di's Digi Designs.

Two participants this week will win a $10 gift certificate to Di's Digi Designs.  Be sure to check out their adorable images.  You have until midnight EST on Wednesday, July 3, to link your Christmas creations.

Now about my card above...I drew my inspiration from the colors, shapes and cookie decorations. My decorations are images (that I merged) from two different CDS sets.  I used a combination of circular and square shapes.  Then embellished the edges of the white scalloped layers with glitter before adding red rhinestones to the holly berries and corners.  What fun!  Hope you jump start your Christmas creations and take part in CSAYL Challenge #22.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day.

Hats and Things with Hippo-Ray

Hi all!  I'm sharing a card today that I really had fun making. This cute hippo is from an older Doodle Pantry set called Hippo-Ray .  I updated this precious image by merging a bow and string of pearls from the new Doodle Pantry set, Hats and Things, on top of the dancing hippo.  I love Doodle Pantry's add-on sets.  They really are fun to use, and can give your images a whole new look.  The sentiment is from another DP set, Happy Sheep.

The digital images I used are precolored making for a quick and easy card.  I did add some of my own coloring and shading to the images.  Although it's barely noticeable in the photo, I cut out the ruffle from a second copy of Hippo-Ray and added it to my card with dimensionals.  Both the green check and floral digi papers are also from the Hippo-Ray set.  I used lots of different dies and punches to embellish my card -- Marvy flower punch, MS butterflies and leaves punches, Spellbinder rectangular die as well as a Papertrey scallop border die. Pearls were added to the centers of the flowers and butterflies.

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:
Inky Impressions (IIC #113) -- Anything Goes
Bearly Mine Challenge #91 -- Flowers Galore
Paper Playtime Challenge 12 -- Anything Goes

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Enjoy the rest of your day!

Good Morning!  I am very happy to announce that I have been asked to join Christmas Stampin' All Year Long's Design Team.  There's a  Christmas Stampin' All Year Long (CSAYL) challenge posted every Friday.

This  week's CSAYL Challenge #20 is to include 3 of the following elements on your creation:

M- Metal
E - Embossing Folder
R - Ribbon
R - Rub On
Y - Yellow
C - Chipboard
H - Heat Embossing
R - Rhinestone
I - Distressing Ink
S - Sticker
T - Twine
M - Markers
A - Acrylic
S - Stickles

Beccy's Place is sponsoring this challenge; and one participant will win 3 images of choice.  For a chance to win link up your creation by June 19 at midnight EST.

For the card above, I used the precious Snowy Pair image by Beccy's Place, and had lots of fun adding the following challenge elements to my creation -- I colored the outline image from the Snowy Pair set with Copic Markers and embossed the panel of white card stock with an Embossing Folder.  Embellishments include Ribbon, Rhinestones, and 2 tiny silver snowflake Stickers.  I also incorporated the color, Yellow, into my design.

In addition to the challenge elements, I added digital paper piecing to the hats and scarfs, and embellished the image with fun flock, flower soft and lots of glitter.  Also the edges of the image panel were sponged with ink and glittered.  And the best part -- I have another Christmas card to add to my stash!

Thanks so very much for stopping by.  Hope you join us for this week's challenge at Christmas Stampin' All Year Long.

Quirky Stork

Happy Sunday, everyone!  Today's card uses the new Doodle Pantry digital set, Quirky Stork.  It's this month's featured set for Doodle Pantry Digital Challenge 35 (DPDC35).  All participants who enter this challenge and create a project that follows the theme/rules will be emailed this set for free!  Challenge runs through June 24, 9 PM ( EDT).

For my card above, I merged the outline image from Quirky Stork onto some digi paper and added some digital paper piecing.  After printing the image, I colored it with Copics.  I glittered the gray shadows on the wings and bridge of the beak.  (Unfortunately, I couldn't get the sparkle to show in the photo.)   I used lots of layers and die cuts and finished with rhinestone embellishments.  IRL, there's lots of sparkle and shine!

I also will be entering this card in the following fun challenges:
365 Cards Day 159 -- Sparkle and Shine (I added rhinestones & glittered the gray shadows on wings & top of beak.)
Crafty Calendar June Challenge -- Things with Wings
Totally Gorguss Challenge 188 -- Hey Baby! - cards for a baby
Digi Haven Anything Goes Challenge for One Year Anniversary -- Must use a digi (Congratulations on 1 year!)

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope everyone has a wonderful week!

Palo Verde

Morning everyone!   Today's the day Doodle Pantry is releasing a fabulous new selection of  digital images.  I used an image from the beautiful new Palo Verde set  to make this card.  This set comes with outline and pre-colored images as well as matching digi papers and sentiments.

For my card, I used the outline image which I colored with Copic markers. Although, it's barley visible in the photo, I sponged the edges of the image panel with chalk ink; then heat embossed with clear EP mixed with dazzling diamonds.  IRL, the edges have a nice sparkle.  I opted for a simple design to allow the blossoms and greenery to take center stage.

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:
Crafts 4 Eternity Recipe #126 -- Three elements with same letter (PEARLS, PAPER AND PALO VERDE BLOSSOMS)
Inspire Me Fridays 105 -- Anything Goes
Addicted to Stamps Challenge 47 -- Make your Mark Coloring (COLORING WAS DONE WITH COPIC MARKERS.)
Rhedd & Rosie's Challenge #7 -- Blooming Lovely

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.  Thanks so much for stopping by!
